The Space

Guests have access to the entire multilevel lakeside cottage. We have created a serene space designed for relaxation, comfort and time together. Enjoy beautiful views at this Doe Lake retreat, where you can unwind on the spacious back deck or dock and swim in the lake or our private saltwater pool, open seasonally from June to September 1.

Relax at our cozy lakehouse and enjoy the hot tub under the stars. At the heart of the retreat is our fully equipped kitchen and spacious dining area, perfect for family meals and gatherings. Enjoy mornings and evenings in the open-concept great room, complete with large windows offering panoramic waterfront views from every angle, including the loft above.

Discover added comfort in our upper-level suite, complete with a private entrance, a cozy TV/rec room and a spacious bedroom featuring two queen beds. This dedicated teen and pre-teen space is a guest favourite at our family-focused Doe Lake retreat.

The cottage accommodates up to 10 guests when this suite is included. Please note that an additional fee of $60 per guest applies after 7 guests.

The charming Doe Lakehouse offers 3 comfortable bedrooms in the main house and a cozy atmosphere during every season.

Our loft master suite offers stunning lake views and ample space to unwind and connect with nature.

During the summer months, guests have access to 1 kayak, 1 canoe and 4 adult life jackets for exploring beautiful Doe Lake.

There is a spacious deck, large patio, BBQ and lakeside fire pit for outdoor entertaining.

We also offer a large 3-door garage for recreational vehicle storage, including snowmobiles and ATVs.

This property's lake view is north facing.

Guest Access

Guests have access to the private saltwater pool, hot tub, waterfront, dock, kayak and canoe. There is a public boat launch approximately 1 minute from the cottage.

The lakefront is not sandy; however, lake walk-in access is possible. We recommend bringing water shoes, as the property includes a natural marsh area that helps preserve the shoreline ecosystem. There is also a quiet sandy public beach within walking distance of the cottage.

Other Things to Note

Smoking is absolutely prohibited inside the cottage. Smoking outdoors is permitted, but all cigarette waste must be properly disposed of. Please do not leave cigarette butts anywhere on the property.

Our outdoor fire pit offers beautiful nighttime stargazing views from Muskoka-style chairs. Firewood is not provided. Please ensure the fire is completely extinguished after each use and follow all applicable local fire restrictions.

The WiFi at the property typically provides approximately 25 Mbps download speeds. As this is a rural property, speeds and consistency may vary, particularly when several devices are connected at the same time.

SECURITY CAMERAS

There are 4 exterior security cameras located at the front entrance, garage, backyard and back patio door. The cameras record video. Footage will only be reviewed when necessary in relation to guest safety, neighbour complaints, property damage, missing items or other property-related concerns.

CLEANING

Please leave the cottage reasonably clean and tidy at checkout to assist with guest turnover. If our cleaners are required to spend additional time beyond the standard turnover, additional cleaning costs may be charged to the guest. Same-day turnovers may occur.

Our spacious garage may be used for recreational vehicle storage such as snowmobiles and ATVs.

BED LINENS AND TOWELS ARE NOT PROVIDED.

Blankets, duvets and pillows are supplied.

HOUSE RULES

1. QUIET HOURS

This is a family cottage and parties or events are not permitted. Serious disturbances or violations of this rule may result in termination of the reservation without refund.

Please respect our neighbours and keep noise and music levels to a minimum during quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Music is not permitted on the pool deck or dock.

2. SMOKING

Smoking is not permitted inside the cottage. If you choose to smoke outdoors, please dispose of all cigarette waste properly. A $250 additional cleaning fee may apply if cigarette butts are found on the property after checkout.

3. WATER TOYS & WATER SPORTS

All lake and water activities are undertaken at the guest's own risk. Life jackets are available; however, anyone using the canoe, kayak or other watercraft must wear a life jacket. Guests are encouraged to bring their own properly fitted life jackets when possible.

4. OUTDOOR GUIDELINES

If outdoor patio furniture or chairs are moved during your stay, please return them to their original locations after use. This helps protect the furniture during changing weather and waterfront conditions.

The lake is swimmable, although guests may need to canoe or kayak out to deeper water.

Children must be supervised by an adult at all times around the lake, dock, pool and hot tub.

5. HOT TUB INFORMATION

Hot Tub Safety & Usage Rules

For the safety of all guests and to maintain proper water quality, please follow these rules at all times:

1. Please shower before entering the hot tub.

2. No glass, drinks or food are permitted in or around the hot tub.

3. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

4. Empty all pockets before entering the hot tub. Items such as tissues, napkins, paper towels or other debris can clog the filtration system. If foreign material enters the system and additional cleaning or servicing is required, a $300 fee may be charged to the reservation.

5. Always replace the hot tub cover when the hot tub is not in use to maintain temperature and cleanliness.

6. Notify the host immediately if the water appears cloudy, contains debris or if anything unusual occurs.

Failure to follow these rules may result in additional cleaning or damage charges.

6. POOL INFORMATION

The private saltwater pool is seasonal and is generally available from early June through September 1.

The pool is not heated and does not have the option to be heated.

The pool area is gated for safety.

As the pool is outdoors, guests may occasionally encounter minor natural debris or insects in the water.

POOL SAFETY WARNING: The pool's deepest point is approximately 7 feet. Please exercise caution and closely supervise children at all times.

7. PETS

Up to 2 pets are permitted. All pets must be registered in advance. A $75 fee applies per pet, per stay. Guests are responsible for picking up after their pets and keeping the property clean.
